Weather on the Flip Side: Looking Back at one of the Weather Bureau's Early PR Efforts



Throughout the history of weather services in the United States, both government and private forecasters have looked for ways to educate the public about the basics of meteorology and the value of the information they provide. Numerous Internet blogs and Web sites are dedicated to the subject, while broadcast meteorologists are becoming increasingly involved in the edification of their viewers on wide-ranging subjects from earthquakes to climate change.
