Aconcagua—Realm of the White Wind
Climbers often stand in awe of Aconcagua, where the silence at the Plaza de Mulas base camp for the Ruta Normal lies in stark contrast to the raging tempest that frequently caps the peak. The cloud cover at the summit is such a frequent visitor that it has been named the Viento Blanco, or the White Wind.
