AMS Fights Back

During the week of Thanksgiving, as the American Meteorological Society (AMS) was preparing to release the results of a survey addressing member views on global warming, the politically motivated Heartland Institute appears to have pre-empted the message with a press release of its own. In a blatant attempt to dispel the notion of scientific consensus for human-related global warming, the Heartland Institute donned the cloak of the AMS in its press release, by featuring the AMS logo and sending it from an e-mail address with AMS in the name.
