On the Job: Samuel P. Williamson: Federal Coordinator for Meteorology, 1998 to 2014

In his 17 years as the Federal Coordinator for Meteorological Services and Supporting Research, Samuel Williamson was responsible for guiding the coordination and cooperation of meteorology programs between 15 federal departments and agencies. He retired last December after a career that included 12 years as the Principal Planner for the Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) Program, Senior Staff Associate for the National Science Foundation, and Senior Science Advisor to the United States House of Representatives.
