Dr. Kevin Trenberth is a climate scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and a global leader who has been influential in all aspects of climate change investigation. Originally from New Zealand, he moved to the United States in 1977. As lead author of the 1995, 2001, and 2007 Scientific Assessment of Climate Change reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), he shared the IPCC's 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. It is one of the many distinguished international awards bestowed on him.
