Joel Myers began selling weather forecasts as a Penn State graduate student in 1962. Ambition and relentless dedication to his work propelled him to pioneer status among forecasting professionals and landed him on Entrepreneur Magazine's list of greatest entrepreneurs in American history. His company, AccuWeather, now serves tailored forecasts to about 1,900 media outlets such as newspapers, radio and television stations, and thousands of businesses, including roughly half of the Fortune 500 companies.
